Amavasya Vrat or Amavasya Vratam are the most auspicious days or apt time to perform Pooja and Arpans for the blessings of God almighty as per Hindu rules. During Amavasya days the devotees perform various type of fasting to seek blessings which include fasting even without a single drop of water called NIRJALA UPAVASA (the other name for vrat) Amavasya is a hindu vrat that comes in every month of the year 2015. In 2015 first Amavasya vrat is on 20th January followed by, 18th February, 20th March, 18th April, 18th May, 16th June, 16th July, 14th August, 13th September, 12th October, 11th November, and the last Amavasya date in 2015 marks on 11th December. Devotees are requested to fast and offer pooja on all these Amavasya days for the well-being of their own and beloved ones.
