Kalashtami is observed on the eighth lunar day (Ashtami) of the Krishna Paksha (waning moon) and is dedicated to Lord Kala Bhairava, a fierce form of Lord Shiva.

Devotees are requested to fast and offer pooja on all these Kalashtami days for the well-being of their own and beloved ones.
