Sankashti Chaturthi is a monthly observance dedicated to Lord Ganesha, observed on the fourth day after the full moon, to remove obstacles and grant blessings.
Devotees fast and perform special prayers to Lord Ganesha, seeking his grace for wisdom and success. The day includes chanting of Ganapati Atharvashirsha and visiting temples. It is considered an auspicious time to overcome difficulties and begin new ventures.

In 2017 first Sankashti vrat is on 15th January followed by, 14th February, 16th March, 14th April, 14th May, 13th June, 12th July, 11th August, 9th September, 8th October, 7th November, and the last Sankashti date in 2017 marks on 6th December. Devotees are requested to fast and offer pooja on all these Sankashti days for the well-being of their own and beloved ones.
