Sankashti Chaturthi is a monthly observance dedicated to Lord Ganesha, observed on the fourth day after the full moon, to remove obstacles and grant blessings.

In 2016 first Sankashti vrat is on 27th January followed by, 26th February, 27th March, 25th April, 25th May, 23rd June, 23rd July, 21st August, 19th September, 19th October, 17th November, and the last Sankashti date in 2016 marks on 17th December. Devotees are requested to fast and offer pooja on all these Sankashti days for the well-being of their own and beloved ones.
